【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverslightweightaggregatesintendedforuseinstructuralconcreteinwhichprimeconsiderationsarereducingthedensitywhilemaintainingthecompressivestrengthoftheconcrete.Procedurescoveredinthisspecificationarenotintendedforjobcontrolofconcrete.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.2.1Withregardtootherunitsofmeasure,thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.3Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.Note18212;Thisspecificationisregardedasadequatetoensuresatisfactorylightweightaggregatesformostconcrete.Itisrecognizedthatitmaybeeithermoreorlessrestrictivethanneededforsomeconditionsandforspecialpurposes,suchasfireresistance,fill,andconcreteconstructions,theuseofwhichisbasedonloadtestsratherthanconventionaldesignprocedures.
