【摘要】:Thermalbarriersrequiresufficientstructuralstrengthtocarrytheloadsimposedonfenestrationmemberswhilereducingtheheattransferthroughthedepthoftheframingmembersthroughouttheirservicelife.Sustainedgravity,bendingandtensileloadsthatstressthethermalbarrier(thatis,glazinginfillweight,windloads,andglazinggasketpressure)arenotcoveredbythistestmethod.ThereaderisencouragedtoreadAAMATIR-A8forfurtherinformationonthermalbarriersandtesting.1.1Thistestmethodevaluatesthelongitudinalshearstrengthbeforeandafterthermalcyclingforthermallybrokencompositethermalbarriersusedinframingofwindows,doors,andskylights.Italsoevaluatestheabilityofathermalbarriertomaintainitslongitudinaldimensionafterthermalcycling.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoallfenestrationproductsthatareconstructedwithstructuralthermalbarriersthatareaffixedalongtheirlengthtotheadjoiningmetalprofile1.3Thistestmethodismeanttobeapplicabletomanytypesoffenestrationframetypesandisnotmeanttobespecifictoanysingleframeconstructiontype.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
